Official record
The controlling document supplied or published by the office that created or keeps it.
One county · one documented index
This independent public file brings Schuyler County records, official reports, newspaper coverage, Facebook notices and video documentation into one source-labeled trail. Every entry says who reported it, what was reported and what still needs an original record.
Automatic source watch active
The Reporter checks official county and state sources, NEMOnews, KTVO, relevant YouTube results and publicly accessible Facebook notices. A new item is published only after its source, date, subject and factual synopsis can be verified and labeled correctly.
The controlling document supplied or published by the office that created or keeps it.
A statement or notice from a public office, including a changeable Facebook post.
Newspaper, broadcast or video coverage that provides discovery and context but does not replace the original record.
A record not yet located online or supplied by its custodian. This means “not found yet,” not “does not exist.”
Open documentation gaps
These are precise follow-up targets—not accusations. Each gap stays open until a source is located, a custodian responds or the record is confirmed not to exist.
Request approved minutes beginning June 1, plus the dates on which each set was approved.
Ask to receive every notice and tentative agenda when it is supplied to Commission members and requesting news media.
Collect the adopted budget, amendments, bid notices, awards, warrants and monthly expenditure reports by year.
Preserve the source, publication date and factual synopsis; obtain the underlying document whenever one exists.
Source register
The register separates record custodians from news organizations, social channels and historical sources so readers always know what they are opening.
Public record + reported information
Entries preserve a concise factual synopsis and send readers to the source. Copyrighted stories and videos are linked and summarized, not copied.
The report says the board approved an $88,990 W.L. Miller bill for street paving and manhole repairs and adjustments, divided among street, sewer and general accounts. It also describes speeding concerns. The combined amount is not an itemized cost for Marion Street alone.
Source note: Published September 23, 2026 for the September 3 meeting; full public text reviewed October 7, 2026. Invoice, account allocations, contract, authorization vote and payment record remain needed. The report does not itemize a Marion-only amount or explain street selection. Publisher copies count as one source.
Independent reporting says Shiloh Acres, LLC filed suit against Schuyler County seeking a court order declaring Baxter Trail a public road. This entry records the reported filing, not a court finding or a determination that either party is correct.
Source note: The linked article is independent reporting. The filed petition, case number, docket, county response and later rulings remain controlling records to obtain and index. Allegations in a petition are not findings of fact.
The City uses this public Facebook page for utility notices, office closings, community announcements and other current updates.
Source note: Current-notice source; individual posts may change or be removed.
The report says resurfacing on Fifth Street and North Marion Street had been completed. It describes manhole cleanup and grouting, a siren bid, zoning discussion and an alley-vacation ordinance involving South Marion. The alley action is a separate decision from North Marion resurfacing.
Source note: Published August 29, 2026 for the August 6 meeting; full public text reviewed October 7, 2026. Completion is newspaper-reported, not independently verified against a City acceptance record. This report does not supply the original reason for selecting North Marion. Publisher copies count as one source.
Independent election-night reporting says turnout reached 42.5% and identifies Jeremy Lefler and Summer Nelson as the leading candidates in the two contested county Republican races. The Reporter has not located a county-certified results document online.
Source note: The article is a contemporaneous independent report. Candidate totals and outcomes should be checked against the county-certified canvass before they are treated as the controlling election record.
Source-based reporting identifies one Route N pavement project in the construction schedule and six additional Schuyler County projects in scoping or design, including work involving Routes A, N, U.S. 63 and U.S. 136.
Source note: Independent explanation based on the official MoDOT STIP. The official program is indexed separately for cross-checking.
The official MoDOT program provides the construction schedule and separate scoping-and-design data used to identify road and bridge projects affecting Schuyler County.
Source note: Construction-schedule projects and scoping-and-design projects have different approval and funding status. The Reporter keeps that distinction visible.
Meeting coverage reports approval of a CDBG administrative-services agreement, code-enforcement and cleanup updates, and a June 10 special-meeting discussion of wastewater construction costs and omitted sludge-removal work.
Source note: News coverage, not the City's official minutes, contracts, invoices or grant file. Those original records remain follow-up targets.
The report describes plans for Fifth Street from Highway K to Main Street and North Marion Street from Fifth Street to the park intersection, with 10 manholes to be raised and coordination with W.L. Miller. It also reports a solid-waste-plan amendment and a metal-detector purchase. It does not explain why Marion was prioritized.
Source note: Published June 18, 2026 for the June 4 meeting; full public NEMOnews text reviewed October 7, 2026. The waste-plan vote is reported by name, but no street-paving authorization vote or selection rationale is given. Approved City minutes, the paving approval and contract remain needed. Publisher copies count as one source.

County-posted election-night report for Greentop aldermen at large. Keaton Nelson and Ashley Robeson received the two highest totals in the reported results.
Source note: Clearly labeled unofficial by the county source; replace with certified results when located.
The report lists county tax and use-tax questions, the ambulance-district tax question, the public-water-district bond question, turnout and municipal or district races across Schuyler County.
Source note: The article reports vote totals and turnout. A clerk-certified results report is still needed before labeling the totals as the controlling official record.
Located December meeting coverage headed city budget, wastewater options and the fire contract. December 4 is the reported meeting date. The adopted 2026 street budget may help trace the later paving authorization, but no Marion Street selection reason is established here.
Source note: NEMOnews publication dated December 12, 2025; a Schuyler County Times listing is dated December 11. These are copies of one report, not independent corroboration. Link and subscription notice checked October 7, 2026. City minutes and the adopted street budget remain needed.
Located a report headed a tax levy and city real-estate sale, with August 7 as the reported meeting date. The City vote record, adopted bills and any closing or deed are needed to establish the precise terms and outcome.
Source note: Published August 21, 2025; link and subscription notice checked October 7, 2026. Headline discovery is not a verified tax rate, completed sale or member-by-member vote record.
Located a report on sewer ordinances, a possible grant and a proposed building gift, with July 10 as the reported meeting date. A proposal or discussion is not evidence that a property transfer or grant was completed.
Source note: Published July 17, 2025; link and subscription notice checked October 7, 2026. Approved minutes, enacted ordinances, grant records and any executed property-transfer documents remain needed.
Located a report headed certificate-of-deposit transfers and a Cancer Society donation. The publisher gives June 6 as the meeting date; the City's approved record is needed to confirm that date and the financial actions.
Source note: Published June 12, 2025; link and subscription notice checked October 7, 2026. Preserve the date as reported rather than silently correcting it. Obtain the City minutes, investment authorizations and financial records for verification.

A KTVO report syndicated by JEMS describes a new $486,000 ambulance headquarters, its funding sources and a reported change in average response time from 8 minutes 32 seconds to 1 minute 5 seconds.
Source note: The figures are news-reported. District board minutes, project costs and response-time records should be collected as the underlying evidence.
Located a report whose headline identifies a 4-H building-use agreement, a computer and an asphalt purchase. May 1 is the publisher-reported meeting date. The headline does not establish that this asphalt purchase funded the 2026 North Marion resurfacing.
Source note: Published May 8, 2025; link and subscription notice checked October 7, 2026. Original minutes, purchase authorization and invoices are still needed. Do not connect this earlier asphalt purchase to the Marion Street project without supporting records.

Source note: Published January 16, 2025; link and subscription notice checked October 7, 2026. Headline and reported dates are indexed as leads. Obtain the approved minutes, budget and insurance approval before treating the reported actions as City-verified facts.
